ROGERS, ARGenerations Bank announces the appointment of Bryant Penzo to Chief Strategy Officer and Max Harrell to Chief Growth Officer, two new roles created to strengthen Generations Bank’s position as the premier community bank in South and Northwest Arkansas and Southern Missouri.

Promoting two outstanding team members to newly created roles leading growth and strategy strengthens our focus on initiatives that will continue to help our customers and communities thrive,” stated Jon Harrell, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board at Generations Bank.

Bryant Penzo will serve as Chief Strategy Officer, spearheading Generations Bank’s People and Culture strategy and overseeing the creation and implementation of innovative strategic initiatives that amplify the Bank’s 116-year legacy of building long-term trust with team members, customers, and communities.

Max Harrell will serve as Chief Growth Officer, fostering innovation in long and short-term planning for business development, marketing, and financial analysis.

Penzo graduated from the University of Arkansas Sam Walton College of Business in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Retail with a concentration in accounting and a minor in management. He was selected for the Arkansas Bankers Association and Walton College Executive Education’s inaugural Leadership in Banking Academy. He joined Generations Bank in 2020 as Marketing Director and most recently has served as Vice President, Director of People & Culture.

Max Harrell, a sixth-generation Harrell family member, joined Generations Bank in 2014. He has served in various business and corporate banking roles, most recently as Rogers Market President. Harrell is a 2018 University of Arkansas Sam Walton College of Business graduate, obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Finance with a banking concentration. He participated in the Walton College Inaugural Cohort of Leadership Circle for Banking and Finance professionals in 2020. He is currently attending the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado.

Harrell has also led the team through the successful launch of The Next Generation podcast. The podcast is designed for younger generations and covers the topic of money from the perspective of young community bankers.
